So those same people would be turned off by lets see a Ferrari Scuderia, Ferrari Enzo, Veyron, Most Ferrari F430s, and many other sports cars that arent "true" manuals. When will people give up this "lack of manual" nonsense? All the cars I listed use FI paddle shifters. Formula one cars freakin use it!!!

Motor Trend just did a test between the IS-F, M3, and C63 AMG. Every tester said the M3 won by a large margin. The lack of manual transmission option turns a lot of people off. The IS-F is a nice car. I saw one on the road just the other day and was salivating. It is not, however, an M3.

just sat in one today.....and i like the seats more than the new m3's....but id have to think about the gearbox....cause im not much of an auto person....even if its only .1 sec shifts

I'm sure you probably found the answer to your question by now, but it's actually an 8-speed w/paddle shifters.
